Hickory Ridge extends home winning streak to three

Recap: Hickory Ridge Ragin' Bulls vs. Northwest Cabarrus Trojans

The Hickory Ridge Ragin' Bulls had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 54 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Saturday. They came out on top against Northwest Cabarrus by a score of 45-37. That's another feather in the cap for Hickory Ridge, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.

Hickory Ridge's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Sheree Gidney led the charge by scoring 17 points along with 7 rebounds. The matchup was Gidney's third in a row with at least ten points. Ma-kaela Gidney was another key contributor, scoring 10 points.

Hickory Ridge pushed their record up to 4-1 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.3 points per game. As for Northwest Cabarrus, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-1.

Hickory Ridge will be playing in front of their home fans against Porter Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Northwest Cabarrus is on the road again on Tuesday and play against Concord at 6:00 p.m. on December 5th. Concord will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 335th, while Northwest Cabarrus is ranked 85th).
