Volleyball Recap: Perry Central Find Success

Perry Central's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Crawford County Wolfpack by a score of 3-1. The Commodores have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Wolfpack, too.

Perry Central had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 24-26, 25-18, 25-22, 25-17.

Among those leading the charge was Ava Labhart, who had five digs and four aces. Those four aces gave her a new career-high.

Labhart wasn't the only good server: Perry Central was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces every time they've taken the court this season.

Perry Central's record now sits at 13-3. As for Crawford County, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-9.

Perry Central wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-1 victory against Tell City on the 11th. As for Crawford County, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against West Washington on the 10th.
