Recap: Tulia Hornets vs. Dimmitt Bobcats
The Tulia Hornets''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They took a hard 43-27 fall against Dimmitt. Tulia was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Dimmitt apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2022.
Despite the loss, Tulia still got an impressive performance from David Molina, who threw for 301 yards and three touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes, and also rushed for 100 yards on only eight carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Beccera, who picked up 98 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Tulia's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Dimmitt, their win ended a eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tulia will take on Canadian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Canadian has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 413 points over their last seven matches. As for Dimmitt, they will head out on the road to face off against Childress at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Childress presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Dimmitt in Texas (Childress is ranked 414th, while Dimmitt is ranked 1055th).
