Ben Filler put up the most strikeouts he's had since back in March on Thursday. He wasn't messing around, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits over four innings pitched. The pitching appearance was his eighth straight with one or fewer earned runs.

Even though Filler couldn't lead Winter Springs over Wesley Chapel, he won't have to wait long to try again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Sadly, Filler's big day wasn't enough to stop the loss, which snapped the Bears' ten-game streak of wins at home.
