Basketball Recap: Montgomery Academy Takes a Loss

After flying high against Dallas County last Monday, Montgomery Academy came back down to earth. The Montgomery Academy Eagles came up short against the Montgomery Catholic Knights on Tuesday, falling 58-33. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Knights recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.

Montgomery Catholic's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Hannah Smith, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 11 rebounds. What's more, Smith also racked up three blocks, the most she's had since back in December of 2024. Heaven Bailey was another key player, dropping a double-double on 11 points and ten assists.

Montgomery Academy's record is now 10-16. As for Montgomery Catholic, they pushed their record up to 17-6 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Montgomery Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Montgomery Catholic has already played their next game (against Brewbaker Tech), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
