Softball Recap: Maple Lake Comes Up Short

Maple Lake was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They took a 10-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Litchfield Dragons. If the Irish were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Dragons when the teams met back in May of 2019, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Maple Lake's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Litchfield, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-4.

Maple Lake has already played their next matchup, a 7-2 win against Zumbrota-Mazeppa on the 2nd. As for Litchfield, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 14-6 victory against Eden Valley-Watkins on the 2nd.
