Athens has gone 8-2 against New Berlin recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Warriors will host the Pretzels at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Thursday, Athens beat Illini Central 2-0. The win continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Cougars: they've now won seven in a row.

Athens easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-7.

Athens found their leader in sophomore Chloe Barrett, who had nine digs and four assists. Devan Barrett also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when New Berlin and West Central co-op [Winchester-Bluffs] meet (five straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Monday. The Pretzels came out on top against the Cougars by a score of 2-0.

New Berlin not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept West Central co-op [Winchester-Bluffs] to exactly 17 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-17.

Athens' victory bumped their record up to 20-4. As for New Berlin, they now have a winning record of 11-10.

Athens came out on top in a nail-biter against New Berlin in their previous meeting last Saturday, sneaking past 2-1. Do the Warriors have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Pretzels turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
