Football Game Preview: Telstar Rebels vs. Sacopee Valley Hawks

The Telstar Rebels will head out to square off against the Sacopee Valley Hawks at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Telstar will be strutting in after a victory while Sacopee Valley will be coming in after a loss.

Telstar is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Maine's top teams: Mount View, who was ranked 24th at the time (Telstar was ranked 13th). The Rebels never let the Mustangs get on the board and left with an 86-0 win on Saturday. The victory continues a trend for the Rebels in their matchups with the Mustangs: they've now won three in a row.

Meanwhile, Sacopee Valley had to suffer through a 64-14 loss at the hands of Old Orchard Beach. The Hawks have struggled against the Seagulls recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Sacopee Valley now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Telstar, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Telstar was dealt a bruising 56-28 defeat at the hands of Sacopee Valley in their previous matchup back in September of 2024. Can the Rebels avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
