Baseball Recap: Wheeler Warriors vs. Concord Academy

Wheeler extended their losing streak to seven on Thursday, dropping them down to 2-9. They fell 12-7 to Concord Academy. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Concord Academy apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2025.

As for Concord Academy, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-3. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.3 runs over those games.

For Concord Academy's part, Jacob Auspitz tossed a big game, striking out six batters over five innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits. Auspitz has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.
