Volleyball Recap: Ogallala's Undefeated Season over After Eight Games

Ogallala lost against Kearney Catholic back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Indians took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Stars. The loss was the Indians' first of the season.

Their offense was headlined by Laney Caskey and Alex Ervin, who picked up six kills apiece. They got some help from Hayden Shaw and her 15 assists.

Leading Kearney Catholic to victory were Roslyn Krohn and Kit Schrock. Krohn had 13 assists and seven digs, while Schrock had eight digs and two assists. Krohn is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 12 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Having lost for the first time this season, Ogallala fell to 7-1. As for Kearney Catholic, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-2.

Ogallala has already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Minden on the 19th. As for Kearney Catholic, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Chadron on the 19th.
