Baseball Recap: Franklin Academy Takes a Loss

After soaring to ten runs the game before, Franklin Academy was a bit more limited in their game on Thursday. They came up short against the Ogdensburg Free Academy Blue Devils, falling 9-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Blue Devils this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-4 back in April.

Franklin Academy saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Joshua Avery, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases.

Franklin Academy has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-6-1 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.5 runs over those games. As for Ogdensburg Free Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-2.
