Stroudsburg is a perfect 10-0 against East Stroudsburg South since April of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Mountaineers will look to defend their home field against the Cavaliers at 4:00 p.m. Stroudsburg is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.5 runs per game this season.

Stroudsburg fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Pocono Mountain East on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Cardinals by a score of 6-5. The Mountaineers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jordan Cook spent all 8.2 innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and four unearned) runs on 14 hits.

At the plate, Elena Trotter was cooking despite her team's loss, going 4-for-5 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Elizabeth Molinaro, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases and three runs.

Meanwhile, East Stroudsburg South made easy work of Pocono Mountain West on Wednesday and carried off a 9-3 victory. The Cavaliers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by six runs or more this season.

Stroudsburg's loss dropped their record down to 10-4. As for East Stroudsburg South, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-9.

Stroudsburg took their victory against East Stroudsburg South in their previous meeting back in March by a conclusive 9-0 score. Do the Mountaineers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Cavaliers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
