Baseball Recap: Alpine Comes Up Short

Alpine started off well but failed to capitalize on an early lead against Lamesa. They came up short against the Tornadoes on Thursday, falling 10-4. The loss continues a trend for the Bucks in their meetings with the Tornadoes: they've now lost six in a row.

Alpine's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Lamesa, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-3.

Coming up, Alpine will welcome Midland Classical Academy at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Lamesa has already played their next contest (against Presidio), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
