Basketball Game Preview: Cantwell-Sacred Heart of Mary Cardinals vs. Cathedral City Lions

Having just played yesterday, the Cantwell-Sacred Heart of Mary Cardinals will jump right back in to play the Cathedral City Lions at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Cantwell-Sacred Heart of Mary is headed into Saturday's matchup hungry for a win as their strong season has now been derailed by two straight defeats. They took a 56-41 bruising from Rancho Mirage on Friday.

Meanwhile, Cathedral City was beaten by Rancho Mirage 102-17 on Thursday. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1276th, while the Rattlers are ranked 317th).

Cantwell-Sacred Heart of Mary's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Cathedral City, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-11.
