Softball Recap: Oakville Takes a Loss

Oakville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They came up short against the Wahkiakum Mules, falling 30-4. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mules this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 30-10 last Monday.

Oakville saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nae Nae Filitaula, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one run. Ui'Lani Siufanua also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Oakville's record is now 0-7. As for Wahkiakum, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-6.

Wahkiakum has already played their next matchup (against Naselle), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Oakville will be paying especially close attention to the Mules' game: after the Mules face off against the Comets, they'll take on Oakville again at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
