Softball Recap: Central's Losing Streak Snapped at Four Games

Central barely beat Crystal Lake Central the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Rockets' pitcher stepped up to hand the Tigers a 6-0 shutout on Wednesday. The win was some much needed relief for the Rockets as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

The result came thanks to Isabelle Reed's shutout, as she gave up just a hit and racked up 12 Ks. Those 12 strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.

At the plate, Madison Butler was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season.

Central's victory bumped their record up to 10-16-1. As for Crystal Lake Central, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 13 of their last 14 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-17 record this season.
