Softball Recap: Denbigh Takes a Loss

Denbigh extended their losing streak to three on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 10-14 in the process. They lost 11-0 to the Menchville Monarchs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Monarchs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-1 on Tuesday.

As for Menchville, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 14-6. Considering they have won nine contests by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

For Menchville's part, the team relied heavily on Brielle Creque (2027), who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Mikaylah Franco (2026), who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

As of now, neither Denbigh nor Menchville have any future games scheduled.
