Basketball Recap: Lincoln Charter Piles Up the Points Against Northpoint Christian Academy

Everything came up roses for the Lincoln Charter Eagles against the NorthPoint Christian Academy NightHawks on Friday as the squad secured a 57-12 victory. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 44-2.

Among those leading the charge was Taylor Riggenbach, who went 5-for-6 en route to 10 points. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in shooting accuracy (83%). Kylie Riggenbach was another key player, putting up six points.

The win made it two in a row for Lincoln Charter and bumps their season record up to 2-1. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 31 points in those games. As for NorthPoint Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.

Coming up, Lincoln Charter will look to defend their home court on Monday against North Rowan at 6:00 p.m. The Eagles are facing the Cavaliers at the right time seeing as the Cavaliers are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for NorthPoint Christian Academy, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Providence Classical at 5:00 p.m. on January 8, 2026.
