Volleyball Recap: Mountain View Comes Up Short

Mountain View was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the South El Monte Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on September 5th.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-13, 25-14.

Mountain View's loss dropped their record down to 2-16. As for South El Monte, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season.

Mountain View has already played their next matchup (against Gabrielino), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for South El Monte, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 defeat against Arroyo on the 29th.
