Softball Preview: Westlake Demons vs. Normandy Invaders

Westlake and Normandy are an even 3-3 against one another since April of 2022, but likely not for long. The Demons will look to defend their home field on Monday against the Invaders at 5:00 p.m. Westlake is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 11.4 runs per game this season.

On Friday, Westlake came up short against Avon and fell 6-3. The Demons haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Cydney Loucka spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and three unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up six Ks. Those six strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.
