Recap: Southern Wake Academy Lions vs. Woods Charter Wolves
This season hasn't been kind to the Southern Wake Academy Lions, who are still winless after their 13th matchup. They were the victim of a rough 36-10 loss at the hands of Woods Charter on Tuesday. Southern Wake Academy has not had much luck with Woods Charter recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Meredith Holcombe and Malak Soukri certainly did their best on Tuesday to try and avoid the loss. Holcombe scored two points along with nine rebounds and six steals, while Soukri scored no points.
Leading Woods Charter to victory were Wesley Oliver and Caroline Mitchell. Oliver scored 11 points, while Mitchell scored 11 points.
Southern Wake Academy's loss was their seventh straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Woods Charter, their victory bumped their record up to 3-10.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing River Mill the next time they take the court. Southern Wake Academy will head out to face River Mill at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while Woods Charter will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
