Baseball Recap: Tri-Valley Takes a Loss

Tri-Valley lost against Peoria Christian back in May of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Vikings fell just short of the Chargers by a score of 2-0. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Tri-Valley got a good showing from Lucas Filarski, who tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Filarski has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk in six consecutive appearances.

Tri-Valley's record now sits at 12-7-1. As for Peoria Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-9 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tri-Valley will host Maroa-Forsyth at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Peoria Christian, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Midwest Central at 4:30 p.m.
