Softball Recap: Foothill Tech Takes a Loss

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last five games, Foothill Tech finally came back down to earth on Thursday. They came up short against the Santa Clara Saints, falling 12-1. The contest marked the Dragons' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Foothill Tech's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Santa Clara, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-1.

Foothill Tech will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Bishop Diego at 3:30 p.m. on April 1st. Foothill Tech has given up an average of 9.8 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Santa Clara, they will be playing in front of their home fans against St. Bonaventure at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
