Recap: Quitman Bulldogs vs. Ford Panthers
This season hasn't been kind to the Quitman Bulldogs, who are still winless after their tenth game. They took a 49-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of Ford on Friday. While losing is never fun, Quitman can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1533rd, while Ford is ranked 358th).
Ford's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Carson Scott led the charge by scoring 11 points. Daxton Osment was another key contributor, scoring 9 points along with 3 steals.
Quitman has yet to win a contest at home this season, leaving them with a 0-10 record. As for Ford, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.
Quitman will head out on the road to face off against Van at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ford, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Village Tech at 12:00 p.m. on Friday.
