Basketball Game Preview: Austin Packers vs. Lourdes Eagles

The Austin Packers will head out to square off against the Lourdes Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Lourdes will be up against a hot Austin team: the squad just extended their winning streak to five. Austin came out on top against John Marshall by a score of 71-58 on Friday. Given the Packers' advantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 48th, while the Rockets are ranked 147th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Lourdes lost to Goodhue on the road by a 73-57 margin on Friday. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Wildcats recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.

Austin pushed their record up to 15-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 76.0 points per game. As for Lourdes, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-7.
