Baseball Game Preview: North Broward Prep Eagles vs. Killian Cougars + Official Tickets

The North Broward Prep Eagles will head out to take on the Killian Cougars at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Killian took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on North Broward Prep, who comes in off a win.

North Broward Prep proved they can win big on Wednesday (they won by 11) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Wellington, sneaking past 2-1.

Julian Rodriguez looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (four).

At the plate, Santiago Rincon was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one home run.

St. Thomas Aquinas hit Killian with a eight-run seventh inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Cougars took a 9-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Raiders.

Ryan Llambes was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits.

On the hitting side, Jordan Scantlebury made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with two runs and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of GianMichael Cueto, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs.

Killian's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for North Broward Prep, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

North Broward Prep couldn't quite get it done against Killian in their previous matchup back in April of 2025 as they fell 5-0. Can the Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
