Volleyball Recap: Emmaus Starts Season with Win on the Road

Emmaus had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They put the hurt on the Central Bucks West Bucks with a sharp 3-0 victory on Saturday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Hornets also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Emmaus got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the second set. The final score came out to 25-16, 31-29, 25-14.

Lucas Mondin paced Emmaus' offense, picking up 14 kills. Mondin got some help from Ben Skekel and his 35 assists. Skekel was also solid from the service line: he led the team with three aces.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Emmaus will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Whitehall at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Central Bucks West, they will welcome Pennsbury at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
