Softball Recap: Wilcox RVT's Winning Streak Snapped at Nine Games

It was a good run, but Wilcox RVT unfortunately witnessed the end of their nine-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell 4-1 to the O'Brien RVT Condors. The Wildcats were red-hot at the plate heading into the match (they scored no less than ten runs in the nine contests prior), but the Condors' pitcher proved too tough.

Chloe Enger spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on nine hits and racked up 17 Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than nine strikeouts any time she's pitched this season.

At the plate, Wilcox RVT saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Katelyn Ouellette, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Wilcox RVT's loss dropped their record down to 21-2. As for O'Brien RVT, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 14-5.

As of now, neither Wilcox RVT nor the Condors have any future games scheduled.
