Volleyball Recap: Saxony Lutheran Takes a Loss

Saxony Lutheran was the 3-1 winner over St. Pius X when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Crusaders took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lancers on Tuesday. The Crusaders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While Saxony Lutheran ultimately came up short, they really made St. Pius X work, particularly in the first set. The final score came out to 28-26, 22-25, 25-17, 25-23.

Saxony Lutheran's defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for St. Pius X, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Saxony Lutheran will head out to challenge Lutheran South at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for St. Pius X, they will venture away from home to square off against Duchesne at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
