James River came out on top against Radford on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run fourth inning. The Knights took their contest against the Bobcats 8-4. For the Knights, this counts as revenge for the 5-0 win the Bobcats walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.

The victory made it two in a row for James River and bumps their season record up to 7-14. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 7 runs in those games. As for Radford, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last ten matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-12-1 record this season.

Radford will welcome Alleghany at 12:00 p.m. on Monday. The Bobcats are facing the Cougars at the right time seeing as the Cougars are stuck on a four-game losing streak. James River will be paying especially close attention to Radford's game: after Radford faces off against Alleghany, they'll take on James River again at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
