Basketball Recap: Memorial Comes Up Short

Memorial was the 34-33 winner over Wapakoneta when they last played one another back in January of 2025, but their luck changed this time around. The Roughriders took a 37-32 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Redskins on Friday. That's two games in a row now that the Roughriders have lost by exactly five points.

Memorial's defeat was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Wapakoneta, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-1.

Looking ahead, Memorial and Coldwater will face off at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest, having both just played. As for Wapakoneta, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Jackson Center at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday.
