Reagan Pelster and Kendyl Flaming secure win for Wallace

Recap: Wallace Wildcats vs. Maxwell Wildcats

The Wallace Wildcats won the last time they faced the Maxwell Wildcats, and things went their way on Friday too. Wallace came out on top against Maxwell by a score of 44-34. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Wallace has managed all season.

Wallace was led to victory by Reagan Pelster and Kendyl Flaming. Pelster scored nine points, while Flaming scored 12 points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Devin Giesselmann, who scored five points.

Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kristyn Cheek, who scored ten points along with six rebounds and four steals. Another player making a difference was Jocelyn Cheek, who scored seven points along with 13 rebounds and two blocks.

Maxwell struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.

Wallace's win bumped their record up to 8-12. As for Maxwell, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-12.

Wallace will be playing at home against Southwest at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Wallace is coming into the game with three straight victories at home, meaning Southwest will have to defend against a squad hungry for a victory. As for Maxwell, they will head out on the road to take on Sutherland at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Maxwell focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 26 on Friday.
