Soccer Recap: Concord Takes a Loss

Concord lost against South Rowan back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Spiders lost 5-0 to the Raiders. While losing is never fun, Concord can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 464th, while South Rowan are ranked 215th).

Concord is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-19. As for South Rowan, their win bumped their record up to 11-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Concord will square off against North Rowan at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Concord will be up against North Rowan's rather soft defense (which has allowed 5.2 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for South Rowan, they will take on West Cabarrus at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
