After failing to score in their last match, the Elbert County Blue Devils made sure to put some goals up on the board against the Athens Christian Eagles on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 9-1 margin over the Eagles. Jace Terrell was a massive factor in the win, as he booted in three goals all by himself.
Elbert County's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Athens Christian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Elbert County will take on Barrow Arts and Sciences Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Barrow Arts and Sciences Academy is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. As for Athens Christian, they will play host again and welcome Rabun County, where kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
