Volleyball Recap: West Ridge Wolves vs. Tennessee Vikings

West Ridge lost against Tennessee back in August, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The West Ridge Wolves took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tennessee Vikings. The Wolves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

West Ridge took a 1-1 lead headed into the third set, but sadly they lost the next two. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 22-25, 25-11, 25-19.

Leading Tennessee to victory were Addyson Gentry and Camden Ward. Gentry had 20 digs, while Ward had 14 digs and two aces. That high mark didn't come from nowhere: Gentry now had 14 or more in the last three games she's played dating back to last season.

West Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Tennessee, they have been performing well recently as they've won 13 of their last 17 games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season.

West Ridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Tennessee, they will face off against Dobyns-Bennett at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Dobyns-Bennett has won three straight at home, while Tennessee won three straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
