Baseball Recap: Six Straight Home Wins for Wink

Wink hadn't done well against Reagan County recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Wildcats came out on top against the Owls by a score of 9-6. For the Wildcats, this counts as revenge for the 10-9 win the Owls walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2024.

Wink saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cayson Cuellar, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two triples, five RBI, and two runs. Those two triples gave Cuellar a new career-high.

Wink's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-4. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.3 runs over those games. As for Reagan County, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11.

Looking ahead, Wink will take on Ozona at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Lions will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something the Wildcats surely won't give up without a fight. Reagan County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
