Basketball Recap: Seymour Comes Up Short

Seymour was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 51-22 loss at the hands of the Elmwood Trojans. While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 589th, while the Trojans are ranked 197th).

Seymour's defeat dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Elmwood, their victory bumped their record up to 6-3.

Seymour wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 59-32 loss against Monmouth United on the 14th. Elmwood has also already played their next game, a 55-41 win against Farmington on the 14th.
