Basketball Recap: Boyd Anderson Takes a Loss

Boyd Anderson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a blow against the South Broward Bulldogs, falling 51-14. While losing is never fun, the Cobras can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 527th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 248th).

Ayonna Lewis had a dynamite game for South Broward, dropping a double-double on 27 points and ten boards. The dominant performance gave Lewis a new career-high in points. Katrin Harrell also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Boyd Anderson's record is now 1-9. As for South Broward, their victory bumped their record up to 11-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Boyd Anderson has already played their next match (against Northeast), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. South Broward has also has no score uploaded for their next game, this one against Dillard.
