Luray was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 22nd straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 16-15 heartbreaker at the hands of the Stonewall Jackson Generals. On the bright side, the 15- run effort marked the Bulldogs' highest-scoring game to date.

Gracie Stillwill and Caydence Cave did some serious damage despite the final result: Stillwill scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances, while Cave went 1-for-5 with four RBI and two runs. Stillwill also put up a hit, which was her first of the season. Emilee Hassett was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-5.

Luray's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Stonewall Jackson, the win snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 2-4 record.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Luray will face off against East Hardy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Stonewall Jackson, they will square off against Harrisonburg at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
