Basketball Game Preview: Northland Christian vs. Orrick Bearcats

Northland Christian will face off against the Orrick Bearcats at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Northland Christian will be strutting in after a victory while Orrick will be coming in after a loss.

Northland Christian is headed out to face Orrick after opening their season at home and giving their fans just what they were looking for. Northland Christian breezed past Guadalupe Centers to the tune of 70-18 last Friday.

Molly Day had an outrageously good game as she shot 93% from the field to rack up 28 points along with eight boards and three steals. Those 28 points gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ruby Wheeler, who went 8-for-12 en route to 16 points in addition to eight assists and seven rebounds.

Meanwhile, Orrick came up short against Lutheran on Monday and fell 41-28. The defeat continues a trend for the Bearcats in their meetings with the Knights: they've now lost three in a row.

Northland Christian didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Orrick when the teams last played back in December of 2024, but they still walked away with a 38-34 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Northland Christian since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
