Football Recap: Walnut Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Walnut extended their losing streak to five on Thursday, dropping them down to 4-6. They took a blow against the Los Altos Conquerors, falling 38-0. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 696th, while the Conquerors are ranked 254th).

Nohlen Simons threw for 72 yards on eight of 16 attempts. Keneh Ejike was his top target, picking up 45 receiving yards. On the ground, Jonathan (JJ) Rodriguez rushed for 27 yards.

As for Los Altos, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-0. The result was nothing new for the Conquerors, who have now won six matchups by 25 points or more so far this season.

It was another big night for DIEGO CASTILLO, who threw for 144 yards and four touchdowns while completing 78.6% of his passes. That's the most passing touchdowns he has posted since back in September of 2024.

Walnut does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Los Altos, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 42-21 defeat against Upland on the 7th.
