Basketball Game Preview: Hargrave Falcons vs. Hamshire-Fannett Longhorns

Hargrave and Hamshire-Fannett are an even 5-5 against one another since November of 2017, but not for long. The Hargrave Falcons will be playing at home against the Hamshire-Fannett Longhorns at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Hamshire-Fannett took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Hargrave, who comes in off a win.

Hargrave will bounce into Tuesday's contest after beating Tarkington, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Hargrave took down Tarkington 47-32 on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Falcons.

Meanwhile, Hamshire-Fannett fought the good fight in their overtime game against Liberty on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 50-49 to the Panthers. That makes it the first time this season the Longhorns have let down their home crowd.

Hamshire-Fannett's loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 20-8. As for Hargrave, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-16.
