Football Recap: Renaissance Drops Highest Score of Season Against Mumford

Renaissance was the 30-0 winner over Mumford when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Phoenix took a 35-28 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mustangs on Friday. On the bright side, the 28- point effort marked the Phoenix's highest-scoring contest to date.

Renaissance's record is now 1-5. As for Mumford, their win bumped their record up to 2-4.

Coming up, Renaissance will face off against Ferndale at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Phoenix surely won't give up without a fight. As for Mumford, they will square off against Southeastern at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Mustangs will need to watch out since the Jungaleers have now posted at least 31 points in their last three games.
