Baseball Recap: Friendship Christian Has No Trouble Against Ezell-Harding Christian

Friendship Christian's game last Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. Everything went their way against the Ezell-Harding Christian Eagles as Friendship Christian made off with an 8-2 victory. The Commanders haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Sam Duckwiler spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on eight hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Cayden Law was excellent, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3. He is becoming a predictor of Friendship Christian's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 4-2 (and 2-6 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Luke Sellars, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Friendship Christian's victory bumped their record up to 6-8. As for Ezell-Harding Christian, they moved to 12-5 with that loss, which also ended their nine-game winning streak.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Friendship Christian beat Ezell-Harding Christian by a score of 15-0 later that day.
