Baseball Recap: Pius X Takes a Loss

Pius X lost against Papillion-LaVista on April 2nd, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Thunderbolts lost 13-2 to the Monarchs.

Pius X saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kai Vanis, who went 1-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

Pius X has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season. As for Papillion-LaVista, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-9.

Coming up, Pius X will square off against Hastings at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Papillion-LaVista, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Elkhorn South. The last three games the Storm have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
