Softball Recap: King Comes Up Short

King was the 14-7 winner over Ray when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The King Mustangs lost 8-2 to the Ray Texans on Thursday.

King dropped their record down to 4-8 with the loss, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Ray, their victory ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-12.

Looking ahead, King will challenge Alice at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Ray, they will take on Corpus Christi Moody at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
