Davis extended their winning streak to five on Tuesday, bumping them up to 17-6. They had just enough and edged out the Lexington Bulldogs 6-4. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 14-9 on Monday.

As for Lexington, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 22-8. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat they have suffered since March 21, 2025.

For Lexington's part, Colby Haynes spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered four earned (and two unearned) runs on nine hits and racked up seven Ks. Haynes has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Lexington saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cash Dierking, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

Looking ahead, Davis will take on Marlow at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Lexington, they will challenge Konawa at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
