Lone Star won the last time they faced Turner and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Rangers blew past the Lions 3-0.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Lone Star took every set by at least 15 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-3, 25-9, 25-10.

Lyla Crowder paced Lone Star's offense, picking up seven kills. Crowder got some help from Katherine Hudson and her 11 assists. Crowder was also solid from the service line: she led the team with seven aces.

Lone Star's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 14-9. As for Turner, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-8.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Lone Star is set to take on their familiar foe Wakeland at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Turner will face off against rival Reedy at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
