Volleyball Game Preview: Thatcher Eagles vs. Valley Christian Trojans + How To Watch

Thatcher is 0-5 against Valley Christian since October of 2021 but things could change on Thursday. The Eagles will square off against the Trojans at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

It was a Battle of the Birds when Thatcher duked it out with Tanque Verde on Tuesday. The Eagles had just enough and edged out the Hawks 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Eagles have posted since September 6th.

Meanwhile, Valley Christian had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Tigers.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Valley Christian was: they took every set by at least 17 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-4, 25-8, 25-4.

Thatcher's victory bumped their record up to 8-11. As for Valley Christian, their win bumped their record up to 18-8.

Thatcher came up short against Valley Christian in their previous meeting back in September, falling 2-0. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
