Softball Recap: Centennial Drops Highest Score of Season Against Yucaipa

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Centennial). They blew past the Yucaipa Thunderbirds 13-3 on Wednesday. Considering the Huskies have won four contests by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Centennial is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. Yucaipa is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Centennial will take on Etiwanda at 3:15 p.m. on April 4. Etiwanda will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Centennial surely won't give up without a fight. As for Yucaipa, they will face off against Rancho Cucamonga at 3:15 p.m. on Monday.
